David C. Rosborough, M.D. - Emeritus

Board certified in Nephrology and Internal Medicine, Dr. Rosborough retired from the team in 2023. He received his M.D. from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Rosborough completed his residency through University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria and his fellowship at University of Missouri-Columbia.

R. Kent Bryan, M.D. - Emeritus

Board certified in Nephrology and Internal Medicine, Dr. Bryan co-founded RenalCare Associates, S.C., in 1975 and retired from the team in 2003. He received his M.D. from Northwestern University Medical School in Evanston (1963-1967). Dr. Bryan completed a rotating internship at Evanston Hospital in Evanston through the Northwestern University Medical Residency Program (1967-1968) and his residency in medicine at Northwestern University Medical School (1970-1973). He completed a nephrology fellowship at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor (1973-1975).

Frederick Horvath, M.D. - Emeritus

Board certified in Nephrology and Internal Medicine, Dr. Horvath joined RenalCare Associates, S.C., in 1975 and retired from the team in 2011. He received his M.D. from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis (1974). Dr. Horvath completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine (UICCOM) at Peoria (1974-1977) and completed a nephrology fellowship at the University of Florida in Gainesville (1977-79).

Robert A. Pflederer, M.D. - Emeritus

Board certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Pflederer co-founded RenalCare Associates, S.C., in 1975 and retired from the team in 1999. He completed a rotating internship at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria (1962-1963). Dr. Pflederer also completed an internal medicine residency at Evanston Hospital in Evanston through the Northwestern University Medical Residency Program (1965-1968). His medical residency included 1.5 years spent involved with the chronic renal disease and dialysis program at Evanston Hospital under the direction of Dr. Bernard Adelson.

Beverley L Ketel, M.D. - Emeritus

Board certified in Surgery, Dr. Ketel joined RenalCare Associates, S.C., in 2002 and retired from the team in 2015. She received her M.D. from University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine (1974). Dr. Ketel completed a General Surgery Residency from 1974 to 1979. She then went on to complete her Organ Transplant Fellowship from 1979-1980 and Transplant Research Fellowship from 1980 – 1982 at the University of Chicago. In 1990, She went to Ohio State University to complete her Pancreas Transplant. Dr Ketel was the first transplant surgeon to perform a kidney transplant in Peoria.
